Wie is Dr. De Loore?
Dr. Geert De Loore is orthopedisch chirurg sinds 1995 en werkte als specialist in de heup- en rugchirurgie in het AZ Damiaan te Oostende. Op 1 juni 2017 gaat hij een samenwerking aan met Dr. De Smet in het ANCA medisch centrum, waar hij zich uitsluitend toelegt op de heupprothese-chirurgie. Alle ingrepen worden uitgevoerd in het AZ Jan Palfijn Gent. Sinds 2008 werkt dr. De Loore bij al zijn volledige heupprothesen via de strikt anterieure toegangsweg waarbij geen enkele spier of pees moet worden losgemaakt of doorgesneden om de heupprothese te plaatsen. Naast totale heupprothesen behoren ook resurfacing-prothesen en revisie-chirurgie tot het vakgebied van dr. De Loore.
Dr. De Loore is internationaal referentiechirurg en lid van de Advisory Board voor deze spiersparende techniek voor Zimmer Biomet, één van ‘s werelds grootste orthopedische firma’s. Hij ontvangt regelmatig chirurgen uit binnen- en buitenland om hen deze techniek aan te leren en is daarnaast ook instructeur op internationale workshops.
